Registered home sales during the first quarter increased 13.6% over the previous quarter
15th June 2021In the first quarter, home purchases by foreigners continued to decline to 9.7% from 10.7% in the fourth quarter of 2020. Mobility restrictions are affecting this segment of the market. On the contrary, in absolute terms there has been an increase in purchases by foreigners, reaching more than 12,200 purchases, compared to more than 11,800 registered during the fourth quarter of last year. The nationalities leading purchases were British (12.1%), Moroccans (8.7%), French (8.2%), Germans (7.1%) and Belgians (6.5%).
The results of purchases by foreigners by autonomous communities have been led by the Balearic Islands (24.3%), the Canary Islands (21.2%), the Valencian Community (19.4%) and Murcia (18.1%).
