THE POLICE ADVISE: HOW TO AVOID GETTING ROBBED AT HOME DURING VACATIONS

It is advised to always lock the doors, even for a few minutes, and check the door frame for signs of forced entry. Avoid announcing vacations on social media and be cautious when discussing travel plans with friends and family. It is suggested to leave blinds open, ask a trusted person to collect the mail, and use automated systems to simulate presence at home. Additionally, it is recommended not to open the door to strangers and to report any suspicious activity to the emergency number. In case of a robbery, it is advised to call the police and make a list of valuable items to assist in the investigation.
